Licensed Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for procedures
• Assist dentists during various treatments, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
• Take X-rays while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques
• Polish and floss teeth as needed
• Take intraoral photos and iTero Scan
• Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal dental hygiene
• Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures to maintain clinical safety standards

Requirements

• Valid license as a Dental Assistant with certification to perform chairside assisting in accordance with state regulations
• Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment
• Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures
• Skilled in dental x-ray techniques and operating dental equipment including Itero Scan and intraoral photography
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
• Familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies and medical coding practices for accurate documentation

Pay based on experience.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 32.0 per week
