Certified Dental Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental team, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s 7:30-4. Thursday’s 8-12. You will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support patient care, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols.
• Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental X-ray machines while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Dentrix to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding.
• Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to support optimal patient care.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and ensuring compliance with healthcare infection control standards.
• Support front desk operations by assisting with dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow with excellent customer service skills.
• Follow dental sterilization procedures meticulously to uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique and infection prevention management
• Collaborate seamlessly with the clinical team through four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient outcomes.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with a focus on general dentistry.
• Hands-on experience with dental x-ray
• Demonstrated understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices along with aseptic techniques in clinical environments.
• Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while adhering to sterilization protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams including pediatric patients when necessary.

Pay: From $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26.0 – 30.0 per week
