Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and possess comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, clinical protocols, and office management. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures.
• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
• Take digital dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and radiation safety standards.
• Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform dental instrument processing and sterilization procedures following infection prevention management policies.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records.
• Support the dental team with chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Operate dental equipment to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Uphold strict infection control standards.
• Assist with dental equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory management of dental instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft along with patient management software.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical procedures including infection control protocols and HIPPA regulations.
• Experience with dental sterilization procedures.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
