Dental Assistant – Private General & Cosmetic Practice

Job Overview:

Bright Dental is an established, privately owned general and cosmetic dental practice in East Greenbush seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team.

We are a busy, modern practice focused on providing exceptional patient care in a professional, welcoming environment. Our ideal candidate is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with the option to add Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient four-handed chairside assistance during general, restorative, cosmetic, and other dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Turn over treatment rooms efficiently while maintaining excellent infection-control and sterilization standards.
• Take digital dental radiographs, clinical photographs, and 3D scans.
• Assist with clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient records in SoftDent.
• Ensure treatment rooms are stocked, organized, and prepared for each patient.
• Provide patients with a warm, comfortable, and professional experience before, during, and after treatment.
• Coordinate with the front office and clinical team to maintain efficient patient flow and an on-time schedule.
• Follow all HIPAA, infection-control, safety, and office protocols.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred.
• NYS Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license strongly preferred.
• DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification a plus.
• Experience with digital radiography and dental technology preferred.
• SoftDent experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, organization, and patient-care skills.
• Professional, efficient, and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment.
• Team-oriented with a positive approach and willingness to help where needed.

Pay: $23.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Expected hours: 23.5 – 40.0 per week
