La Plata Dental is looking for an experienced, professional, and highly motivated Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our team full-time.

We are seeking a Full-Time Certified Dental Assistant who is X-ray certified and has the clinical experience, professionalism, and positive attitude necessary to thrive in a fast-paced, comprehensive dental practice.

Our ideal candidate is confident clinically, attentive to detail, comfortable working alongside providers during a variety of procedures, and understands the importance of staying one step ahead of the doctor.

Required skills and experience include:

• Current CDA certification
• Current X-ray certification
• Experience with four-handed dentistry
• Experience with iTero scanning
• Experience assisting with implant surgery and implant-related procedures
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and clinical procedures
• Ability to properly set up and break down treatment rooms
• Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Ability to anticipate the provider’s needs during procedures
• Ability to maintain an efficient patient flow in a fast-paced dental environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established clinical protocols
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional work environment

Clinical Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry
• Assisting with comprehensive restorative procedures
• Assisting with implant surgery and other advanced procedures
• Completing accurate iTero digital scans
• Taking diagnostic-quality dental X-rays
• Preparing treatment rooms before patient appointments
• Ensuring instruments, materials, and equipment are prepared for each procedure
• Sterilizing instruments and maintaining appropriate infection-control standards
• Reviewing the daily schedule and preparing in advance for upcoming procedures
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories
• Documenting clinical information accurately
• Providing patients with appropriate pre-operative and post-operative instructions
• Supporting efficient room turnover and patient flow
• Communicating effectively with doctors, hygienists, administrative team members, and patients
• Helping maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming clinical environment

Schedule

This is a full-time position.

Regular office hours are approximately 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, with one Saturday per month required.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be dependable in maintaining the established work schedule.
