Dental Receptionist/Insurance Specialist (Dental Office Experience Required)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Front desk - checking patients in, collecting payments, scheduling patients, answering the phone.
• Ensure all Dental procedures/charges are processed correctly.
• Submit electronic claims, paper claims as needed.
• Submit electronic pretreatment estimates, paper as needed.
• Accurately post payment, and adjustments to patient accounts according to contractual agreements.
• Ensure all EOBs are processed, and any denied claims are resubmitted accurately and file appeals as needed. Follow up on any reports through the electronic claims system.
• Send patient statements weekly and follow up on past due accounts with collection calls as needed.
• Reconcile co pay collections, with deposits.
• Provide information to patients to help them understand insurance pretreatment estimates and claims.
• Verify insurance eligibility and check benefits.
• Calculate patient payment and note in appointment what needs to be collected

Schedule:

• 4 day work week

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business preferred.
• Excellent phone and communication skills.
• Dental Assistant or Dental Hygiene license preferred.
• Experience with dental billing.
• Experience with Dentrix and medical billing a plus.
