Dental Patient Coordinator

Job Overview
Private Dental Office is seeking a front office/billing coordinator to help with a fast growing practice. Front office, applying payments, submitting claims, verifying insurance, is a must!

Duties:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility

- Explain treatment plans to patients

- Provide support for the front office
- Prepare claims for insurance reimbursement
- Follow up on claims to resolve billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation for billing purposes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide support to patients regarding billing inquiries and payment options
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations
- Assist patients in scheduling, confirming, and changing appointments
- Answer and file patient communication and documents in a timely manner

- Additional Duties as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience in dental billing with at least 2 years experience in a dental office.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
- Proficient in using Open Dental software is a plus
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of collections processes is a plus

Office Hours: (Shifts may vary slightly)

• Monday 9am-4:30pm
• Tuesday 9am-6:30pm
• Wednesday 9am-4:30pm
• Thursday 9am-4:30pm
• Friday 9am-2pm

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
