Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and hygiene practices. Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure comprehensive care.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
• Assist with chairside procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining sterilization standards, and supporting the dentist during treatments.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document patient information accurately.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid license as a Dental Hygienist with current certification in dental hygiene practices.
• Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and understanding of radiation safety standards.
• Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and working with pediatric patients is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on dental care topics.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality is essential.
• Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic settings is preferred; familiarity with infection control protocols is required.
