ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and periodontal care while helping patients maintain and improve their oral health.

The ideal candidate is committed to providing comprehensive care, educating patients, and building lasting patient relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, sealant application, and supportive periodontal maintenance
• Conduct thorough periodontal assessments, charting, and oral cancer screenings—examining for signs of periodontal disease, sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions
• Take dental radiographs (digital X-rays), document findings accurately in Dentrix
• Apply preventive materials to teeth, including sealants and fluorides
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive dental care in a warm, unhurried manner; provide detailed instructions on brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring all function safely and adequately
• Use Dentrix management systems to maintain accurate patient documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current New Jersey Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills
• Professional, dependable, personable, and organized
• Dentrix experience is a plus, but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 18.0 per week
