Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our office. Looking for a candidate for a long term position in our family dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of dental hygiene and safety. This position involves working closely with patients, assisting in their treatment, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Operate medical imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes.
• Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in general dentistry.

Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Proficiency in Softdent and Dexis software for patient management needed but can teach.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and provide compassionate care.
• Attention to detail in patient assessment and record keeping.
• A solid foundation in medical terminology related to dental health.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
