Dental Hygienist

Job Summary

PT/FT Dental Hygienist position available in a well-established privately-owned dental practice. We need a motivated team player who is looking for a great work environment. We are staffed with experienced Dentists and staff members who support our hygiene department! Candidates must be serious about dental hygiene and the care of their patients. Our new patient appointments are set for 1.5 hours to give time for a professional patient experience. We offer an excellent benefits package including an incredible bonus system for our Hygiene team. Our two offices are located in Johns Creek and Cumming. We are open from 7 am - 4 pm M-Th and 7-2 pm on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary choices that affect oral health.
• Review patient documentation and medical histories to ensure accurate treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress using Dentrix software.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Assist in the management of the dental clinic environment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education as required.

Skills

• Proficient understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
• Competence in four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient workflow during treatments.
• Strong documentation review skills to maintain accurate patient records.
• Previous experience in dental assisting is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on patient education and comfort.
