About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our established, high-performing periodontal team. Our hygienist of 14 years is retiring, creating an opportunity for a new team member to join our established private practice and become an important part of our team.

We believe in providing excellent patient care without sacrificing the quality of the hygienist’s workday. We do not push for production. Our hygienists are given the time they need to provide thorough, personalized care, including one patient per hour.

We also offer assisted hygiene, allowing our clinical team to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Our practice is primarily focused on periodontal maintenance and long-term patient care, with minimal SRP procedures performed. This allows our hygienists to spend more time building relationships with patients, providing individualized preventive and periodontal maintenance care, and helping patients maintain their oral health.

This is an opportunity to use your hygiene skills at a high level while working alongside experienced periodontists and a dedicated clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive periodontal hygiene care, including periodontal maintenance, limited scaling and root planing, and preventive services.
• Provide primarily periodontal maintenance care, with minimal SRP procedures.
• Work closely with periodontists to support patients throughout their periodontal treatment.
• Perform thorough periodontal assessments and document findings accurately.
• Capture dental X-rays and assist with digital imaging and clinical documentation as needed.
• Utilize Airflow polishing and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) as part of our modern approach to patient care.
• Educate patients on periodontal health, home care, and the importance of maintaining optimal oral health.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patients’ periodontal conditions to the doctor.
• Participate in an assisted hygiene model to support an efficient and organized clinical workflow.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
• Utilize updated technology and digital systems to enhance patient care and clinical efficiency.
• Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.
• Work collaboratively with the doctors and clinical team to provide an exceptional patient experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• Dental Hygiene license in good standing.
• Experience in periodontal hygiene is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• A calm, confident, and compassionate presence with patients.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical team.
• Comfortable with digital technology, radiography, electronic charting, and other dental technology.
• Willingness to learn and utilize Airflow polishing and Guided Biofilm Therapy.
• Experience with Dentrix is ideal, but not required.
• A positive attitude and genuine commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
