Dental Hygienist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings, medical history review, and blood pressure measurements
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Take dental x-rays and assist the dentist in diagnostic procedures
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments
- Assist with dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and crown placements
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation system (Epic)
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental office environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies

Experience:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Ohio
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Proficiency in using dental instruments and equipment
- Familiarity with medical documentation systems (Epic)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate patient assessments
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
