Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for full time or part time. We are open Mon-Thurs 9-5, Fridays 9-3. We have kind and skilled providers who are great to work with and for. We are a small general dental office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
• Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and current medications.
• Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides to patients' teeth.
• Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
• Document medical records accurately, including treatment plans and patient progress.
• Assist in medical coding for insurance purposes as needed.
• Operate dental imaging equipment to capture X-rays and other diagnostic images.
• Provide education to patients about oral hygiene practices and general dentistry.
• Collaborate with the dental team in pediatrics and general dentistry procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment.

Requirements

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
• Proficiency in medical documentation and coding is preferred.
• Experience with Itero scanner is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient assessment protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, especially children in pediatric settings.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
