We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. Duties

• Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and check in efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Dentrex, Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks.
• Schedule patient appointments accurately, coordinate with clinical staff, and manage the clinic’s calendar to optimize workflow.
• Collect and process payments, including medical billing and insurance claims using systems like Athenahealth or other health information management tools.
• Review and update patient records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing clear information about procedures, insurance, and appointment scheduling while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
• Manage medical records filing, documentation review, and ensure all patient information is accurately entered into EMR/EHR systems.
• Assist with Dental health insurance verification, claims processing, and understanding of insurance plans requirements.
• Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for procedures and diagnoses, ensuring accurate medical coding practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong front desk or receptionist responsibilities.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance procedures and processes.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10-key typing.
• Ability to maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive patient information accurately.
• Previous clinic or healthcare office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
