Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech

EXPERIENCE:
- NO PREVIOUS DENTAL EXPERIENCE NEEDED. We offer hands-on training at the workplace. Candidate will start as a Records/Sterilization Technician. Any interested candidates who are willing to study further will progress to being orthodontic dental assistants.

- Those with previous dental or orthodontic experience are encouraged to apply as well.

- MUST be a high school graduate

- This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to enter the dental field- you will be taught hands on - on the job!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform intraoral scans
- Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures
- Take dental x-rays as directed by the orthodontist
- Assist with patient assessment and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and care instructions

Travel: This job may require travel to both the locations of our office: Ringwood NJ ( 2 days a month) and Garnerville NY ( 3 days a week). Must be willing to travel as needed.

Required days at our Garnerville, NY location are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. See schedule below.

Schedule:

21-25 hours a week

Monday 9:30 AM- 6 PM

Tuesday 11:00 am- 5:30 PM (Ringwood NJ location- 2 Tuesdays a month)

Wednesday 9:30-6 PM

Fridays 9:30 AM- 6 PM

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
