Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant/Lab Assistant

Orthodontists Associates of WNY is looking to hire a dedicated Dental Assistant / Orthodontic Assistant to be a part of our dynamic team, taking part in helping to transform our Patient’s smiles.

The ideal Dental Assistant / Orthodontic Assistant candidate will assist the orthodontist in providing quality orthodontic care to all patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to creating beautiful smiles and improving oral health.

Brief Description of Assistant Duties:

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations & procedures
• Prepare & sterilize instruments / equipment
• Maintain a clean operatory
• Taking impressions, iTero scans, photo’s, and x-rays
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, & post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records & treatment plans
• Utilize knowledge of dental terminology, & HIPAA regulations
• Preparing inventory ordering
• Liaising with the Front Desk & Doctors
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a dental clinic or orthodontic practice preferred, not required
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as individually
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Licensed Dental Assistant in the State of NY
• Positive and cooperative attitude in working and communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization
