Dental Assistant(New & Experienced)

Overview

Join our dental care team as a Dental Assistant and help create a smooth, reassuring experience for patients. You’ll support general dentistry and specialty procedures through attentive chairside assisting, accurate documentation, and careful infection prevention. Your impact: By preparing patients and instruments and supporting clinicians during treatment, you help patients receive organized, attentive care.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside with four-handed dentistry, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
• Prepare and maintain dental equipment, process instruments, and follow dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control practices.
• Take dental X-rays and support medical imaging, including use of a 3D scanner when applicable; record vital signs as directed.
• Update medical records and medical documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and patient management software, such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Support patient management and dental receptionist duties as needed, while protecting privacy under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and clinical confidentiality policies.

Experience

• Dental assisting or dental clinic experience, with knowledge of dental and medical terminology and anatomy.
• Familiarity with chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, dental equipment, dental X-rays, and infection prevention management.
• Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control, including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures.
• Experience with EMR systems, patient management software, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is helpful; not every system is required.
• Commitment to patient care, accurate medical records, and confidentiality.

Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
