Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in various dental procedures, maintaining patient comfort, and managing clinical operations. Experience a plus, but we are willing to train the right person so no experience required. RDA license preferred.

Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain patient records accurately, including medical history and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Support various specialties such as endodontics and prosthodontics by providing tailored assistance during procedures.

Skills

• Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry.
• Familiarity with dental clinic systems and software for record management.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique to ensure patient safety.
• Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively, enhancing the efficiency of dental procedures.
• Experience in assisting with endodontic and prosthodontic procedures is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
