Dental Assistant (periodontal)

Are you an experienced dental surgery assistant who loves working with patients in a friendly environment? We’re looking for a caring chairside assistant to be part of our periodontal office.

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate with patients in a professional manner, building rapport and trust
• Assist the surgeon during procedures including extractions and implants, as well as traditional periodontal surgeries (resective surgery, soft tissue and bone grafting)
• Prepare the treatment room, surgical trays, and instruments
• During surgery, manage suctioning while maintaining sterile technique
• Take panoramic, periapical, and CBCT images as needed
• Provide detailed post-operative instructions to patients, answering any questions they may have
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant surgical environment
• Record patient medical histories, treatment notes, and documentation accurately
• Help manage supply inventory

Requirements

• A positive attitude!
• Preferred: 6+ months of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a dental surgery setting
• Proficient in surgical assisting techniques and infection control protocols
• Can take high-quality radiographs
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and patient rapport
• Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and a strong team player

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
