Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office while providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks as needed, including making impressions and preparing dental materials.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft.
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction.

Skills

• Proficiency in general dentistry practices with a solid understanding of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and understand basic anatomy knowledge related to dental health.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical documentation.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
