Dental Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant who will make our dental practice more efficient and pleasant for patients.

We are a high-energy concierge dental practice with a family-like feel; therefore, our ideal dental assistant should be friendly, well-organized, efficient, and have great attention to detail. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and contribute to making the procedures and patient hand-offs as smooth as possible.

We will begin with phone interviews, which may lead to an in-person interview for the right candidates.

The Ideal Candidate can:

• - Make high-quality temporaries
• - Use an Intra-oral Scanner (Digital Dentistry – Trios 3 & 5 & Itero)
• - Pack Retraction Cord
• - Take Pre-Op impressions & alginate impressions
• - Has EFDA Certification
• - Maintain a calm and welcoming demeanor and environment for patients
• - Assist during Crown & Bridge, Cosmetic, Oral Surgery & Implant Procedures

Responsibilities

• - Greet patients by name in the dental office
• - Prepare patient for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
• - Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed for procedures
• - Sterilize instruments according to regulations
• - Assist the dentist
• - Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
• - Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked 

Requirements

• - Computer skills necessary
• - CDA/EFDA licensing required
• - Proven experience as dental assistant at least 2 years
• - Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• - Understanding of health, safety and privacy regulations
• - Excellent communication and people skills
• - Attention to detail
• - Well-organized and reliable
• - High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
• - Additional certification or training is an asset
