Dental Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the dentist and hygienist during patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients. The role requires a strong foundation in dental assisting, with a passion for delivering exceptional care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Duties:
- Prepare patients for dental procedures, including taking medical and dental histories, explaining treatment plans, and obtaining consent.
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during treatments, such as fillings, crowns, and extractions.
- Maintain patient records, including medical and dental information, using electronic medical records (EMRs) such as Epic.
- Perform various clinical duties, including taking X-rays, making impressions, and administering anesthesia.
- Demonstrate aseptic technique and maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Participate in pediatric dentistry, providing exceptional care to young patients and their families.
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments in a busy dental practice, using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
- Assist the front desk team as needed, providing exceptional customer service and answering patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and maintain a positive and professional work environment.

Experience:
- 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant or related role.
- Familiarity with medical imaging, including X-rays and CT scans.
- Knowledge of general dentistry and prosthodontics procedures.
- Experience with dental software, including Eaglesoft and Epic.
- Strong anatomy knowledge and ability to understand patient anatomy.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry, including working with young patients and their families.
- Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and ability to maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
