Office hours: Your work will be Tuesday through Friday (8am-5pm with a 1 hr lunch) and 2 Saturdays a month (7:30am-2pm).

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and orthodontic dentistry.
• Prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry.
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) - Dentrix and Practice Web, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation when necessary to support comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control procedures and dental sterilization protocols in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
• Support administrative duties such as answering patient inquiries, scheduling appointments with patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist when needed.
• Needed: Proficiency in Dentrix and Practice Web, strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and clinical procedures including dental instrument processing, experienced with dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, and healthcare infection control standards.
• Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the dental team.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
