Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for patient appointments.
• Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment while adhering to infection prevention management standards.
• Manage patient records accurately using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout treatments.
• Process dental instruments following sterilization protocols to maintain aseptic technique and prevent infection.
• Support the dental team by managing appointment scheduling, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and coordinating patient flow efficiently.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix Ascend
• Knowledge of dental terminology, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology enhances your ability to support clinical procedures effectively.
• Familiarity with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and healthcare infection prevention is crucial for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
• Experience with advanced dental technologies like 3D scanners or digital imaging systems is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral structures and oral surgery procedures will enable you to assist confidently during complex treatments.

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
