Dental Assistant (Expanded Functions) – High-Tech Dental Office

We are seeking a highly motivated, bilingual (English/Spanish) Dental Assistant with at least 2 years of experience to join our modern, high-tech dental practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven assistant who enjoys advanced dentistry, teamwork, and delivering a high-end patient experience.

The ideal candidate has completed the newly approved Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) course (fillings certification) and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during a wide range of procedures, including restorative dentistry, crowns, fillings, exams, and hygiene support
• Perform expanded duties, including placing fillings, in accordance with certification and Florida regulations
• Operate and assist with advanced dental technology, including:
• Solea Laser Dentistry
• Digital X-rays
• Digital impressions / scanners
• Ensure exceptional patient care by maintaining comfort, communication, and efficiency
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments following OSHA and infection control standards
• Take accurate impressions and assist with basic lab tasks
• Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records
• Assist with patient education and post-treatment instructions in English and Spanish
• Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and front office staff to maintain smooth daily operations

Requirements

• ✅ Completed Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) course (fillings certification required)
• ✅ Bilingual: English & Spanish (required)
• ✅ Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience (private practice preferred)
• Strong understanding of dental procedures, sterilization, and OSHA compliance
• Experience with or willingness to learn high-tech dental equipment (training provided if needed)
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a busy clinical setting
• Positive attitude and team-oriented personality
