Dental Assistant – School-Based Mobile Dental Program

Dentists R Us, a school-based mobile dental outreach program headquartered in Troy, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting with dental procedures, preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies, and driving a standard-size company van to partner schools throughout Southeastern Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to drive a standard-size van to scheduled schools
• Set up mobile dental units, efficiently at the start of each school visit
• break down mobile units at the end of the day, used a designated cleaning solution
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain a clean organize clinical environment
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies for daily school visits. Must monitor and maintain supply inventory. Properly notify and report low stock levels in a timely manner to prevent supply shortage.
• Uphold strict infection control and aseptic protocols
• Accurately document patient records, both written and digital ensuring up-to-date records and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Maintain a professional image and courteous demeanor at all times
• Collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and the dental team

Qualifications :

• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to school locations safely
• Dental assisting experience preferred
• Familiarity with dental software preferred
• X-ray certification a plus
• Background check required for school clearance

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
