Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
• Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support with dental instruments and materials
• Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
• Manage patient records and documentation accurately within electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies
• Conduct patient management tasks such as taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions to promote comfort and understanding
• Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and following aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
• Support administrative duties including answering phones as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments using patient management software, and managing medical documentation efficiently

Skills

• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate record keeping and appointment management
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across various specialties including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery
• Expertise in dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools
• Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices aligned with healthcare infection prevention standards and aseptic techniques
• Excellent communication skills for patient care, education, and collaboration with team members in a four-handed dentistry setup
• Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining strict sterilization protocols
• Familiarity with general dentistry workflows, medical documentation standards, and clinical confidentiality policies

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
