Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part-time Dental Assistant to join our private dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient care, assisting the dentist, setting up the operatories, and sterilizing instruments. This role is important in maintaining the efficiency of our practice and providing exceptional service to our patients.

**Training will be provided for those without experience, but interested in the dental field**

Schedule Requirements are 2-3 days per week

• Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 9 am - 3pm
• Mondays office is closed

Responsibilities

• Set up the dental operatory and seat patients.
• Take x-rays for patients using digital radiography.
• Assist the doctor during dental procedures.
• Disinfect the rooms using OSHA guidelines and sterilize instruments.
• Take inventory and re-stock supplies weekly.
• Utilize the cloud based dental program to chart and review schedule.

Skills

• Understanding of dental terminology relevant to dental practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Multi-tasking between assisting, operatory setups/breakdowns and sterilization.
• Detail-oriented with friendly mannerism to assist in patient care.
