Dental Assistant

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist and providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support

- Take digital dental x-rays as directed by the dentist

- Perform dental charting and record patient information accurately

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control protocols

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions

- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records

- Assist with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling paperwork

Skills:

- Proficiency in dental coding and dental records management

-Make temporary crowns

-Place dental sealants

-Take alginates for dentures and partial dentures

- Familiarity with dental terminology and dental systems

- Strong understanding of infection control procedures in a dental setting

- Excellent attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical documentation

- Must be able to provide EXCELLENT customer serivce.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 36.0 per week
