Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of clinical procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry is a PLUS
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies
• Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while maintaining proper aseptic technique and adhering to radiation safety guidelines
• Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR). Ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, treatment notes, and medical imaging
• Support patient care by explaining procedures, managing patient questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with patient management software and assisting the dental receptionist as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments efficiently and adhering to infection control standards for healthcare infection prevention and control expertise

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical documentation and records
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental procedures including oral surgery and endodontics
• Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology
• Understanding of infection prevention protocols such as sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices
• Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to support efficient clinical workflows
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, dentists, and patients

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
