This role requires both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the dental clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for patient documentation and medical records management.
• Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary.
• Record vital signs and medical history accurately in patient files.
• Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans.
• Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.

Experience

Candidates are encouraged but not required:

• Preferred but NOT required experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably within orthodontic or general dentistry.
• Preferred but NOT required Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology
• Preferred but NOT required Experience with medical documentation, coding, and records management.
• Preferred but NOT required Knowledge of HIPAA regulation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
