Dental Assistant — Augusta Periodontics & Implants

Augusta Periodontics & Implants is a specialty periodontal and implant practice serving Augusta and the greater CSRA area. We're a tight-knit team of six, and we're looking for a Dental Assistant to join us as we grow. Experience in periodontics, oral surgery, or implants is a plus — no experience? No problem. We'll train the right person with a strong work ethic and a good chairside manner.

Pay: $16–$20/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. No Fridays, no weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Assist chairside during periodontal surgery, implant placement, and soft tissue procedures
• Prep and break down operatories; manage sterilization and infection control
• Take and process digital x-rays and intraoral scans
• Support patient communication and flow before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain surgical trays, instrument inventory, and supply ordering
• Work closely with the doctor and front desk to keep the schedule on time

Qualifications:

• Certified/registered dental assistant (GA licensure or eligible) preferred, but not required — will train the right candidate
• X-ray certification preferred
• Experience in periodontics, oral surgery, or implant dentistry a plus
• Comfortable in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong communicator, proactive team player

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28.0 – 36.0 per week
