Orthodontic Assistant – Full-Time

Cranford Orthodontics, a well-established, patient-centered orthodontic practice in Newnan, is seeking a full-time Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults and wants to grow in a positive, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, dependable, and comfortable solving problems. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with excellent people skills, a genuine desire to learn, and a willingness to contribute to the team.

Orthodontic experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are happy to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
• Preparing and sterilizing instruments
• Educating patients about oral hygiene and appliance care
• Assisting with digital impressions, photographs, records, and other clinical procedures
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Helping patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visits
• Supporting teammates to keep the clinical schedule running smoothly

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay of $22 per hour, with higher compensation considered based on relevant experience

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: Patient care, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Rotating Fridays: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., with administrative responsibilities and limited patient care as needed

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience: One year preferred
• Orthodontic assisting experience is a plus but is not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Dependable, organized, and attentive to detail
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work collaboratively
