Dental Assistant

Are you looking for a dental assisting position that you are appreciated for the efficient and effective work you do? Do you have a couple years of dental assisting or are you a seasoned assistant?

We are looking for the right person with dental assisting experience. This is a well managed, growing GP office with a mix of specialty procedures such as root canals, extractions, grafting, dental implant placement and restoration, etc.

A day in the life includes:

• Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Setup and breakdown operatory post treatment.
• Taking dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Managing infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Providing patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures.
• Educating patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health.
• Performing various office tasks as necessary.
• Dental Assistant Certificate preferred but not required
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 38.0 per week

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Maine Radiographer License (Required)
