Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.
• Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols.
• Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying patient information using patient management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Collect vital signs, medical history, and ensure clinical confidentiality policies are maintained throughout all interactions.
• Support patient care by explaining procedures, providing post-treatment instructions, and addressing patient questions with professionalism.
• Maintain dental equipment functionality and assist with dental instrument processing to ensure operational efficiency.
• Uphold healthcare infection prevention and control standards in line with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.

Experience

• Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery environments.
• Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is essential for managing medical documentation and records efficiently.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment operation, and medical terminology enhances your ability to support clinical teams effectively.
• Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices, dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention is required.
• Experience with dental x-ray technology, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools will be advantageous for supporting diagnostic processes.
• Strong communication skills combined with a passion for patient management software usage will help foster positive patient experiences.

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
