Dental Assistant

Job Summary

Join our dental care team as a Dental Assistant and help patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visits. You’ll support general dentistry and specialty procedures, prepare treatment areas, and keep clinical records accurate. Your impact: By providing attentive chairside support and following infection prevention practices, you help clinicians deliver safe, efficient care for patients, including children. New grads are welcome.

Duties

• Assist chairside during examinations and procedures, including four-handed dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
• Prepare and maintain dental equipment and instruments; perform dental instrument processing and sterilization using aseptic technique and infection control procedures.
• Take dental X-rays and support medical imaging as directed and within applicable requirements.
• Record vital signs, update medical records, and complete medical documentation while following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements and clinical confidentiality policies.
• Support patient management and reception tasks, including scheduling, patient communication, and coordination of pediatric dentistry visits.

Skills

• Essential: Dental assisting or dental clinic experience; patient care skills; knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy.
• Essential: Understanding of infection prevention management, healthcare infection prevention and control, dental sterilization procedures, and safe X-ray practices.
• Preferred: Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft
• Preferred: Familiarity with general dentistry, pediatrics, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or oral surgery.
• Preferred: Experience with chairside assisting, dental receptionist duties, dental equipment, medical imaging, vital signs, and medical records.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
