Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and endo treatments with precision and confidence.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all supplies are ready for patient care.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR systems)
• Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient assessments.
• Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans to promote ongoing dental wellness.
• Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by safeguarding patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by local regulations.
• Proven experience in general dentistry with additional familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, dental instruments, equipment, and sterilization procedures.
• Experience with dental x-ray procedures
• Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
