Clinical Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow in the office and supporting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the dental operatory.
• Manage patient records and dental documentation while complying with HIPAA regulations.
• Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Educate patients on post-operative care.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dental office, including sterilization of instruments.
• Support front office staff with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and prosthodontics is beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic dental software such as Patterson Eaglesoft is a plus.
• Strong understanding of dental records management and documentation practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing excellent patient care.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
