We are a growing dental practice located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire seeking a friendly, energetic, and organized individual to join our team as a Clinical and Administrative Dental Assistant. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a critical role in creating a warm and welcoming environment and ensuring a positive patient experience from start to finish. As a function of your dual role, you will also provide crucial support by preparing operatories and ensuring patient rooms are ready for use.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating with our dental team to ensure seamless operations
• Answering phones, taking messages and communicating with patients via Weave (digital communication app)
• Dentist and hygienist schedule management and optimization
• Processing and entering insurance claims, collecting payments, daily business processing
• Preparing operatories, cleaning operatories, sterilization and sanitization, and expediting room turnover
• Assisting the lead assistant, doctor and hygienists in day to day functions

Requirements/Experience:

• Windows and Microsoft Suite Competency
• General computer and digital literacy, and the ability to problem solve
• Eaglesoft or other dental management software
• Eye for detail and desire to grow and expand your knowledge
• The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and strong organizational abilities
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Our office utilizes Weave communication systems and Eaglesoft practice management software to improve access to care for our patients. Experience with these systems is a plus but can be easily trained.

• Monday 7:30AM - 4PM
• Tuesday 7:30AM - 5PM
• Wednesday 7:30AM - 5PM
• Thursday 7:30AM - 5PM

Job Type: Full-time

• Are you willing and able to learn both front office work (scheduling, insurance, billing) as well as assisting, sterilization, and lab work as a "Hybrid" role?

Experience:

• Dental clinic: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
