Checkout Receptionist – Pediatric Dental Office

Position Overview:
We are seeking a cheerful, organized, and detail-oriented Checkout Receptionist to join our front office team. This role is essential in creating a smooth and positive experience as patients complete their visits.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and parents at checkout with warmth and professionalism
• Review treatment completed and explain charges clearly
• Collect payments (cash, credit, financing, etc.)
• Verify and process insurance information
• Schedule follow-up and recall appointments
• Answer phones and assist with front desk duties as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and notes
• Help keep the front office organized and welcoming

Experience

• Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred, especially within pediatric or healthcare settings.
• Proven proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is a must.
• Experience with insurance verification processes
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional patient service with excellent communication skills in a bilingual environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical billing procedures is essential.
• Adequate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing (10 key), and familiarity with multi-line phone systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks. Pay: From $21.00 per hour
