Certified Dental Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical assisting, patient care, and dental procedures, with a focus on delivering exceptional service in a professional environment. As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality are maintained.

Duties

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Taking dental X-rays using digital imaging systems while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort.
• Conduct initial patient assessments and documenting medical history in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies.
• Maintain strict infection prevention management by following dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Ensure proper processing of dental instruments and equipment maintenance to uphold safety standards.

Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
• Familiarity with dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other clinical instruments.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the dental team.
• Knowledge of anatomy
• Ability to handle medical documentation securely while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times.
• Competence in dental instrument processing, aseptic technique, and infection prevention strategies essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.

Salary is dependent on experience

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
