Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Temporary Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional oral healthcare services to our diverse patient community. The days needed are Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting October 27 ending November 24. Your expertise in dental hygiene, patient education, and infection control will help ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. Duties

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal oral health for patients.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), adhering to safety protocols and utilizing dental imaging equipment effectively.
• Conduct patient assessments by recording vital signs, medical history, and current dental concerns to inform treatment plans.
• Educate patients on proper dental care practices, emphasizing preventive strategies and oral hygiene techniques tailored to pediatric and general dentistry needs.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, managing sterilization of dental instruments, and adhering to healthcare infection control standards.

Requirements

• Valid Dental Hygiene license with current registration in the state of practice.
• Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office or clinic setting.
• Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and record management.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience providing care to pediatric patients is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management.
• Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining strict radiation safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction, patient education, and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control practices.
• Commitment to HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: From $60.00 per hour
