Dental Assistant – Maternity Leave Coverage

Rock Ridge Dental Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and friendly Dental Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis while one of our assistants is out on maternity leave.

We are a patient-focused general dental practice providing comprehensive care, including restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implants and endodontics. We are looking for someone who can step comfortably into a clinical environment and help us continue providing excellent care to our patients during our team member's leave.

Schedule

• Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
• No Fridays or weekends
• Temporary maternity-leave coverage

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for scheduled procedures
• Take digital radiographs
• Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
• Turn over operatories between patients
• Help maintain an organized, clean and efficient clinical environment
• Work collaboratively with the doctor, hygienist, front office, and other clinical team members

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who can jump into an established practice with minimal ramp-up time. We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in general dentistry
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Friendly and professional with patients
• Comfortable working independently while also being a team player
• Familiar with digital dental workflows and practice-management software
• Focused on excellent patient care and attention to detail

Experience with Open Dental and Dexis is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience strongly preferred, but not required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Appropriate Colorado dental assisting qualifications/certifications for duties performed
• Radiography experience preferred
