Full-Time | Monday–Friday | IV Sedation Experience Strongly Preferred

Periodontal Care is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our Prairie Village team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional with strong surgical assisting skills, excellent patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced periodontal specialty practice.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience in oral surgery, periodontics, or surgical dentistry preferred
• IV sedation experience, sedation monitoring training, and related credentials strongly preferred
• Experience with dental implants, extractions, and periodontal surgical procedures
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterilization, and infection control
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail
• Ability to anticipate the doctor's needs and work efficiently as part of a clinical team

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside surgical assistance for dental implants, extractions, and periodontal procedures
• Assist with IV sedation and patient monitoring within applicable training and credentials
• Prepare surgical operatories, instruments, and materials
• Obtain vital signs, dental X-rays, and clinical documentation
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
