DoctorPerio is looking for a Surgical Dental Assistant to join our periodontal and implant team!

We are a growing specialty periodontal practice with locations in Bellevue and Issaquah. Our team provides advanced periodontal, implant, regenerative, and surgical care in a fast-paced environment where exceptional patient care and teamwork come first.

If you already have surgical or periodontal experience, we would love to meet you. If you are a strong Dental Assistant who is eager to expand into surgical dentistry, we are willing to train the right person.

What You'll Do

As a Surgical Dental Assistant, you'll work closely with our doctors and clinical team throughout the patient's surgical experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Chairside assisting for periodontal, implant, and oral surgical procedures
• Setting up and breaking down surgical operatories
• Preparing surgical trays, instruments, materials, and equipment
• Maintaining exceptional sterilization and infection-control standards
• Taking digital radiographs and CBCT scans
• Reviewing medical histories and pre-operative requirements
• Preparing patients for surgical procedures
• Assisting with and monitoring patients receiving conscious sedation
• Reviewing post-operative instructions with patients
• Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment
• Managing surgical supplies and helping maintain organized operatories
• Assisting with lab cases and case tracking
• Working collaboratively with our doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front office team

Experience & Requirements

Required:

• Current Washington State Dental Assistant registration
• One year of dental assisting history
• Current CPR certification

Preferred, but not required:

• Periodontal or surgical assisting experience
• Dental implant experience
• Conscious sedation experience
• DAANCE certification
• CBCT and digital radiography experience
• Experience with Open Dental
• Bilingual skills

Schedule: Our typical clinical schedule is:

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

No evenings and no weekends.

Compensation: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, surgical skill level, certifications, and qualifications.
