Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the surgical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, including four-handed dentistry, and familiarity with Periodontic dentistry. The Surgical Assistant will work closely with the dental team to provide high-quality patient care while maintaining a sterile and organized environment.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support.
• Prepare and maintain the surgical area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
• Utilize 3D scanning technology to assist in diagnostic and treatment planning.
• Manage medical records and documentation accurately to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providing them with information regarding procedures and post-operative care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the surgical suite, adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient flow and satisfaction.
• Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental technology.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on surgical assistance.
• Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is essential.
• Knowledge of periodontics
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and systems.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
