We are a high-quality, patient-centered oral surgery office looking for an intelligent, motivated, and long-term individual to fill our Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Assistant position with our amazing staff. We are looking to add one or two more assistants to our team!

We will formally train appropriate individuals on how to take x-ray and dental impressions. We will also officially train through an online course on assisting with sedation and general anesthesia to be a Certified Dental Anesthesia Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination/surgery, take vitals, and present patients' health history to physician
• Applying EKGs, reading EKGs, and obtaining vitals
• Prepare equipment and examination/surgical rooms, and clean instruments
• Assist physician with medical treatments, surgical techniques, and exams
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
• Take x-rays
• Process blood for Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
• Patient recovery and post-op monitoring
• Obtain CT Scans and Dental X-rays
• Answers phones and assists with front office duties as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical or dental assistance certification program preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
• Understanding of medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
• Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
• CPR & BLS Certified
