Registered Dental Hygienist

Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Pediatric & Teen Specialist

ToothFillers – superKIDS Dentistry
San Jose, CA | [email protected] | (408) 345-5660

We Are Looking for a High-Integrity Professional.
Pediatric dental hygiene is more than cleaning teeth. It is about building trust with an underserved demographic. Most dental hygiene postings list basic clinical tasks and assume the right candidate just wants a job. This one is different. We are not just looking for a license. We are hiring a high-integrity clinician who knows how to connect with teenagers, manage a fast schedule, and always choose the patient over profit. If that is the kind of professional you are, we want to hear from you. Whether you have spent years in pediatric dentistry or are a new graduate with stellar clinical rotations, your alignment with our ethics is what matters most.

The Practice and the Mission
ToothFillers superKIDS Dentistry serves a predominantly Denti-Cal pediatric population in San Jose. Dr. Tracy Filler built this practice on a straightforward belief: that kids from underserved communities deserve the exact same standard of care as anyone else. The bar here does not flex based on payer source. Dr. Filler is building something in this community that she intends to outlast her. The Registered Dental Hygienist who joins us next is a key part of that story. One thing people notice quickly when they start here: the days are fast, full, and high-energy. By the time you leave, you know exactly what you accomplished for these kids. That feeling does not get old.

What You Will Own

• Exceptional Patient Care: Delivering top-tier preventive treatments, scaling, and oral hygiene education.
• Teen Connection: Creating a comfortable, non-judgmental environment specifically tailored to the unique needs of patients aged 13–18.
• Clinical Production: Maintaining a strong, productive workflow while ensuring patient comfort and safety never waiver.
• Patient & Parent Communication: Using positive, patient communication to teach youth and parents the lifelong value of oral health.
• Team Collaboration: Working seamlessly alongside our dentists and assistants to keep our busy schedule running smoothly.

What We Need You to Prove
These are the things we screen for. Not just a list of preferred qualifications. The actual standards. Come ready to demonstrate them.

• Integrity without exception. You do not cut corners because the schedule is busy. You own up to mistakes immediately, play no games, and always recommend what is right for the patient long-term over short-term profit.
• Effective teen communication. You actually enjoy working with teenagers. You know how to talk to them, not at them, breaking down anxiety and building authentic trust.
• Thriving in a busy flow. You stay steady and positive when the schedule is packed. You see high patient volume as an opportunity to impact more lives, not as a burden.
• Collaborative mindset. You view dental hygiene as a team sport. You step in to help your teammates without being asked and take your cues from a culture of mutual support.

Requirements & Preferences

Here is exactly how we think about qualifications:

• Active California RDH License: Required. This is non-negotiable.
• Reliable Schedule Availability: Required. You must be consistently available for Saturdays. Additional days TDB.
• Clinical Experience: 1+ years is a head start. However, passionate new graduates with solid, hands-on pediatric rotations are highly encouraged to apply.
• Bilingual: Spanish or Vietnamese is a genuine advantage but not a requirement. It helps us deeply connect with our San Jose community.
• OpenDental Software: Helpful, but we can teach you if you possess the right mindset.

Who This Is NOT For
Being direct here saves everyone time.

• You watch the clock and view patients as numbers on a spreadsheet rather than kids who need your help.
• You believe high production justified cutting corners or over-diagnosing.
• You prefer a slow, quiet office environment. This is a very busy, high-energy pediatric practice.
• You struggle with feedback or find it difficult to collaborate with assistants and doctors.
