Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – School-Based Dental Program

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our School-Based Dental Program for the 2026–2027 Chicago Public Schools school year.

Our program works in partnership with the CDPH to provide preventive dental services to children throughout Chicago Public Schools. Our dental teams travel directly to schools and provide care to students during the school day.

This is a great opportunity for a hygienist who enjoys working with children, values being part of a team, and is looking for a schedule that follows primarily the CPS school calendar—with weekends, school holidays, and summers off.

Services We Provide

Our school-based dental teams provide preventive dental services including:

• Dental examinations
• Dental prophylaxis
• Dental sealants
• Fluoride varnish
• Oral hygiene education

Dental Hygienist Responsibilities

As part of our mobile dental team, the Registered Dental Hygienist will:

• Provide scaling, dental prophylaxis and preventive dental services within the scope of an Illinois-licensed dental hygienist
• Scale, place dental sealants and apply fluoride varnish
• Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene education, including brushing and flossing instruction
• Work closely with the dentist and other members of the dental team
• Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the school day
• Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the portable dental treatment area
• Follow all infection-control and sterilization protocols
• Work cooperatively with dentists, dental staff, school personnel, and students
• Travel daily to assigned Chicago Public School locations
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude

Required Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Dental Hygienist License
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with children preferred
• Sealant placement experience preferred
• Must be dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a mobile school-based environment

Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
